YAQUI TRIBE
Work with the Yaquis from Hermosillo of the communities of La Matanza and El Coloso:
Since 1997: Support in the traditional celebrations of Lenth and Easter.
Since 1997: Connection with other institutions and companies for the representation of its traditional dances in public events. |
Since 1998: Support in the communitarian organization for the management of their traditional celebrations and the subjects related to the conditions of life of the community.

2001 - 2005: Creation of artisan workshops with women: confection of dolls with the traditional Yaqui suit and for the elaboration of their traditional clothes.
2001: Recovery of the traditional songs of their ceremonies: songs for the Dancing Deer and praises of the Singers. |
Since 2003: Workshops of embroidering and elaboration of the traditional “rebozo yaqui”.
2003:Workshops for the recovery of the Yaqui language, elaborating didactic games for the children: lottery and memorama.

2004: Naming of the alleys and streets in “La Matanza” neighborhood, all of them in Yaqui language, in coordination with traditional Yaqui authorities, Neighbors Association and Hermosillo County.
2004: Reprinting of new editions o Lottery and Memorama games, with support o Education and Culture Secretary.
VALLE DEL YAQUI COMMUNITIES:
Participation in the “National Arts & Crafts Contest”, organized by the Mexico’s Women National Institute. One of the Pima crafts was selected to use as a representative image of Mexico for the APEC Reunions (Asia Pacific Economic Council) about WOMEN, that was held in Mexico, summer of 2002.
2003, 2004 y 2006: Participation in the magisterial conferences of indigenous of the Yaqui area, organized by the Educative Proyect o the Yaqui Tribe. Lutisuc helped with several conferences and delivering educational material made in Yaqui dialect (lotteries, memoramas, storybooks, a mural and paintings made by yaqui children in “Sixth Sense” Workshop).
2006: Workshop oriented for children of literal sensibilization, using plastic and literal expression. This workshop was held in the native lodge o Torim, Guaymas County.
2006: Yaqui language edition of the story “The twinkle star”, as part o Lutisuc’s program PLAY & LEARN.
SUPPORT TO PROJECTS presented by groups benefited of PACMYC (NATIVE AND COMMUNITARY CULTURES SUPPORT PROGRAM) by members of communities such as La Matanza and El Coloso, Hermosillo, Sonora, for: *2000: Renovation of traditional clothes for ceremonies: Deer, Pascolas, Matachines and Malinches. *2000: Workshops for the recovery of the Yaqui language, elaborating didactic games for the children: lottery and memorama. *2001: Renovation of musical instruments for the ceremonies: water violins, arpa, drum and scrapers. *2002: Creation of artisan workshops with women of the yaqui community of El Coloso, Hermosillo. *2003: Qualification of artisan workshops or women in the yaqui community of La Matanza, Hermosillo. *2000: Projects for the improvement of the houses infrastructure: construction of bathrooms, conduction of drainage and canalize of potable water.
PIMA TRIBE (O'OB)
INTEGRAL PROGRAM FOR THE RESCUE OF PIMA CULTURE, with the objective of contributing to the reafirmation of the pima culture identity, busting their social develpment. Since 1998 to 2006 with the communities of Juan Diego, Pilares, Maycoba, Kipor, El Encinal, Tierra Panda, La Cieneguita and La Dura.
INICIAL PHASE (1998)
1998: The first contacts with these communities where to detect their necessities, both materialistic and cultural. As a result of this study the Workshops of recovery and Pima artistic stimulation were programmed.
IMPLEMENTATION PHASE (1999 al 2004)
Summer 1999:

*1° infantile painting workshop, in which participated 22 pima children of the communities of Pilares and Kipor, under the direction of the plastic artist Marisela Moreno Cano.
Exhibitions of paintings and murals in the Museum of Popular and Indigenous Cultures of Sonora, in the cities of Hermosillo and Ciudad Obregón; and the Bubble Museum in Hermosillo, under the title "the Art of Pimas children".

* Beginning of embroidering and seam workshops with 5 women of those communities using different designs made from paintings from its caves (like part of the project of recovery their identity as town)
Summer 2000:

* 2° infantile painting workshop, with 20 children of the community of Juan Diego and 18 of the community of Maycoba, directed by the plastic artists Marisela Moreno Cano, Juan Amparano and Ana Teresa Lizárraga. Exhibition of paintings and murals in the Museum of Popular and Indigenous Cultures of Sonora, under the title "The Pimas Spirit"
* Pursuit of the seam and embroidering workshops with the women of Maycoba and Juan Diego, adding a total of 26 women.
Summer 2001:

* Reading and Pima legends recovery workshop, with 12 children of the community of Juan Diego, directed with the librarian Mireya López. As result of this workshop was elaborated the lottery and memorama drawn by those young participants in pima and spanish.
* Wood sculpture workshop, with 8 men, directed by the sculptor Jesus Grijalva.
* Obtaining of 8 machines to sew by pedal and furniture, cloth and necessary supplies for establish a seam workshop in three communities, by the use of resources originated from a project PACMYC presented by the Pima craftswomen and endorsed by Lutisuc.
* Continuation of the embroidering and seam workshops for the women, with a considerable increase of participants.

Spring 2002:
* Seam workshop in pedal machine, with 55 women of the communities of Juan Diego, Maycoba and Kipor, directed by the Social Assistant Alejandrina Guerrero Miranda, with the intention of giving finished suitable to the textile products.

Year 2003:
* Continuation of the productive project of embroidering and seaming artisan, wood carving and weave of basketwork. |
* Two artisan factories and communitarian centers: KIPOR and JUAN DIEGO
From their inauguration on August 31 of 2003, the two Communitarian Centers located one in Juan Diego and the other one in Kipor began their operation, this two towns is where you can find the main conglomeration of pima population in the municipality of Yécora, Sonora. The Centers were built with the joint effort of the own benefied communities, Lutisuc and diverse public and private institutions, following the model of a traditional pima house. One of the main objective of this centers is that they are destined to be host of the artisan workshops and the specific programs, of development and education, which Lutisuc has been carrying out in benefit of those communities for several years. These programs already are being carried out at the moment.

Lutisuc provides support to the strategy and organization of the factories and is committed with the craftswomen in looking for them commerce routes to their products.

*Pilot plan of traspatio crop, it was design for the people to be able to replicated in their houses as familiar orchard. This small orchard took control of views to compensate the deficiency of fresh vegetables in the zone. |
In autum of 2004 iniciated an intence capacitaion for the crafwomen so they could feel like the productive project was their own and assumed the compromise of sustainability.

Capacitation and communitarian organization workshops, thought in the community of Juan Diego, for the craftwomen. |
*Capacitation on different technics, to be able to dominate all the phases of the creation process of an artisan on embroidering: buying the fabric, treating it, drawing and design, embroidering, seaming on pedal machine and on the electric one, quiality in the finishing, ironing, package and commercialization. On the last phase of this workshop there where installed two electric seaming machines that are abble to function with solar energy.
*Communitarian organization and knowledge of their history and cultural identity where thought in Juan Diego, Maycoba and Kipor.

This project was financed by the “Capacity Development Program” (PRODESCA), by Sagarhpa, it had excellent results that determined that it was worth of representing Sonora in the 10th National Reuinion of Succesful Experiences in Rural Sustainable Develpment, that took place in Chiapas in November 2005.

*Artesan in wood workshop, thought to men in the Juan Diego community, the principal intetion was to involve them in the rescue of pima culture, and use the wasted wood from the wood shops of the area, and converted in utilitarian or ornamental pieces, using the same elements that women use in the desings of the embroidering artesan.

* Selling point of Pima artesan and turistic atraction: the artesanal center in Juan Diego is becoming a place where turists and visitors can go and buy crafts directly from the pima artesans, as a souvenir from their trip to the Yécora mountains.

*Exposition in Yécora: “ Precense of Pima Culture in the Northwest of México”. This exposition showed the finish work from the first stage of the consolidation phase of the integral program since the 4th till the 8th of june 2005. |
| 2nd STAGE OF THE CONSOLIDATION PHASE OF THE INTEGRAL PROGRAM (2006-2007). |
*Capacitation workshop in Kipor and Maycoba. After the excellent results in the first phase, the Technic Capacitation workshop is going to be replicated in this communities, and will be also follow up close the craft women team from Juan Diego. Something new in this second stage is that artesans coordinators from each community will travel to Hermosillo to receive their capacitation, and then if the rest of the team back home is interested in learning the complete process of the elaboration of the embroidering craft teach them to do it. The teacher and the Lutisuc team will travel regularely to this communities to supervise how much the community is learning with this new way of teaching. At the artesain center in Kipor will be installed two electric seoing machines.
2008: SUPPORTING STAGE
Artisan Centers Juan Diego, Maycoba and Kipor.
2007-2008: Total appropriation on the project of embroidering bye Pima women, causing group interaction and organized work. Lutisuc’s part is focused in being an adviser and link.
  
Supporting workshops in Maycoba and Kipor, may 2008, with the objective of developing artisan women and help them solve their difficulties encountered in their crafts and similar processes. In this stage the contact is constant and using personal visits or phone calls between Lutisuc and craftswomen.

JUNE 2006, COMMUNITARIAN MURAL IN KIPOR
MURAL: During the month of june 2006, the Pima community El Kipor painted their history, celebrations, traditions and environment in the main facade of the artisan center. Their activity named “Participative and Communitarian Mural Generation Seminar & Workshop” was impelled and guaranteed by Lutituc, sponsored by PACMYC and was implemented by under the direction of Proff. Raffaella Fontanot from Hermosillo, the anthropologist Susana Petersen of ENAH Mexico, Alexander Goss from University of York, Canada, and the contribution of plastic artist Marisela Moreno.
MAYO TRIBE (YOREME)
Lutisuc has organized the following activities and projects:
Initial Phase: 2006. Support and assistance in traditional celebrations and parties. Impulse to Mayo artisan men, by finding just commerce routes and getting them closer to their potential markets. For working with women and since the geographical location of the region, the Mayos communities were grouped to implement the program “Embroidering an Identity” in Masiaca, Teachive and annexes in the Masiaca project; and Barrio Corral, Camoa, Santa Bárbara and Barrio Cantúa as Project Tehuelibampo.
June 2006: Subscription of the Three Way Colaboration Treaty, with State Government and Tusi Yari Cooperational Society, that groups Mayo artisans, for the making of different activities, that include projects inside our institutional program “Embroidering an Identity”.
August 2006: Conference “Yoreme Tribe, heir of a Millenary Culture”, distributed to artisan men during the Information and Update Workshop organized by State government and to Mayo women of Masiaca Project, in June 2007.
Implementation Phase: June 2006 – August 2007: Creation of concept, design, methodology and implementation o the productive project of embroidering, replicating with adaptations and development focused on Pima women, for the conformation of an artisan line alternative to the traditional one, with designs based in cave paintings and petroglyphs of the Mayo region, south side of Sonora.
Consolidation Phase of the project with women of Masiaca Project, August 2007-March 2008: with resources donated by Nacional Monte de Piedad, I.A.P., that included: technical and operative capacitating labors for craftswomen, directly in the community and using a cascade system, and the implementation of an artisan embroidering workshop in Masiaca, Sonora.
Implementation Phase of Tehuelibampo Project, August to December 2007: with resources donated by Programa de Coinversión Social Indesol 2007, in its slope Sustainable Rural Development.
May 2008: Beginning of the Supporting Phase of Masiaca Project.
Artistic Stimulation Workshop, December 2007: for children of Mayo community of Las Bocas, Huatabampo, Sonora; inside our institutional program “Play & Learn”.
SERI TRIBE (COMCÁAC)
Since 1997, different support for traditional celebrations.
1998 and 2006: Sponsorship for the production of: Cantos Kun Kaak The Harmony Language Volume II, Audiocassette and compact disc, in support to Group Kunkaak.
2006: Creation of Memorama in Comcáac dialect (Seri), with editions including animal lie in Gulf of California or Sea of Cortes. In the elaboration of this Memorama children and teenagers of the Seri community of Desemboque participated, as well as representatives of the program Roots and Wings o CONACULTA. This is part of Lutisuc’s program PLAY & LEARN.
CUCAPA TRIBE
2006. Embroidering Qualification Workshop, implemented in Hermosillo to a woman, representing the community of Pozas de Arvizu, San Luis Río Colorado, for the creation of a doll that represented the Cucapá tribe.
PUEBLO KIKAPU
2008: Work of cultural rescue begins with Kikapoo tribe in Sonora: visits to the community of Tamichopa, Bacerac County, reunions with its members and traditional authorities, as well as compilation of information, beginning with qualification for the creation of representative Kikapoo crafts, using a cascade system. As well as in with other tribes, a representative doll was created.

Since 1997: Acquisition, diffusion, and search of just commerce routes for native crafts in Sonora.
Institutional link, keeping contact for coordination and support labors, as well as actions in benefit of the different tribes and communities, in coordination with: Federal, State and County government organisms, national and international philanthropic organizations, educative institutions, etc.
