Lutisuc is born in 1997 as a project to support the indigenous culture from Sonora, participating in joined effort with the indigenous communities, to protect their traditional and cultural values.

The activities that we realice can be grouped int three big areas:

I.- WORK WITH INDIGENOUS COMMUNITIES.
II.- CULTURAL DIVULGATION
III.- INSTITUTIONAL STREGHTEN

I.-The work in an indigenous culture dinamic, is structured after having an initial relationship with these groups, with the objective of detecting oportunity areas and how interested they are, always being respectfull of their custums and manifestations of their culture.

Every action is born from the indigenous communities, and apply to them too. What Lutisuc does is participate with them, listening, motivating, and sistematizating the activities, involving the benefied groups in a way that they are the stars of their own develpment.

The programs that we realice are elaborated in two directions: productive projects and asistential activities.

• The productive projects search to obtain sustainability and the creation of sources of self employment, and also the development of the entrepreneur spirit of the artesans.

  

• The asistencial activities, are realiced in benefit of the ethnic groups, it doesnt have the productive project caracther but are an important element, for their cultural identity reafirmation, or just as a support for the different coummunities.

  

The lines of work as the Lutisuc Misión describes it are RESCUE, PRESERVATION AND DIFFUSION, of the indigenous culture of Sonora. In each of this action lines, we have develop different productive projects and activities, that are structure to attend the caractheristics and circunstances of each community.

II. The Cultural divulgation, is related to the work with indigenous communities, it has to do with the difusión of the cultural manifestation of the State ethnic groups, as the strategies for the sensibilization of the society in general towards this patrimony.

In this way, Lutisuc, realices the following activities:

• Conferences, expositions, and organization of classes about Ethnic groups from Sonora.
• Participation in congress and simposiums
• Artesan exposition in public events, promoving just commerce.
• Sonora?s indigenous Artesan catalogue .
• Programs in schools about indigenous traditions.
• Participation in diferente events, convocations and concursos.
• Encouraging the participation and assistance of Indigenous groups to events and festivities.
• Contact with the oficial organism that attend the indigenous matters, academic and research institutions, education sector, and media.
• Web site.

III.- Institutional streghten, responds to the continuos improvement process and profesionalization of our working team so we are able to reach our objectives.

RESOURCES:

The resources for the different activities that Lutisuc develops are obtained by:

• DONATIONS, are provided by phisical and moral people, national and international organizations, and public institutions for the execution of different projects in progress.

• RECUPERATION CUOTES, are obtained from the society in general, and are oriented to the preservation of cultural manifestaitons and just commerce of the indigenous artesan of Sonora, in benefit of the artesans.

• CULTURAL EVENTS, are a way of diffunding culture, and to obtain resources that allows the organization to sustain, with the respald and solidarity of the artistic and intelectual comunity.
